The India vs Pakistan rivalry will be renewed on Sept 14.

It's official! India will lock horns with Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 tie on September 14 and one more time -- potentially on September 21 -- at the same venue.

The final on September 29 will also be held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium as the rivalry between the arch-rivals renews in the desert.

The continental championship will be held in the UAE from September 9 to September 28, as per an Asian Cricket Council (ACC) release.

In the tournament to be held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, India are drawn with Pakistan in Group A which also includes with Oman and the UAE.

Group B has Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Hong Kong.

The ACC will allow 17-member squads for the 19-match tournament.

This edition of the Asia Cup will be held in T20 format as is the convention with the next ICC global meet being T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.

India will play two of their league games on September 10 (vs UAE) and September 14 (vs Pakistan) at Dubai while the final league game against Oman will be held at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on September 19.

In Super Six games, only one game is scheduled in Abu Dhabi.

While the fixtures were announced on July 26, the ACC had not announce the venues. Out of 19 games in the tournament, 11 will be held in Dubai and eight in Abu Dhabi.

Though the Board of Control for Cricket in India is the host of the tournament for continental supremacy, it is being held in the Middle East as India and Pakistan have mutually agreed to compete only at neutral venues till 2027 due to the bilateral tension between the Asian neighbours.
