London: England beat India by eight wickets in the rain-curtailed second women’s ODI to level the three-match series 1-1 here on Saturday.
Asked to bat first, India posted 143 for 8 after persistent rain delayed the start of the match and reduced the game to 29-over-a-side affair.
Initially, England were to chase down 144 from 29 overs but the target was later revised to 115 from 24 overs after another rain interruption when they were 102 for 1 in 18.4 overs.
The home side finally chased down the revised target in 21 overs to win the match.
Opener Amy Jones top-scored with 46 not out while Tammy Beaumont chipped in with 34.
For India, who had won the first match by four wickets on Wednesday, Sneha Rana and Kranti Goud took one wicket apiece.

Opener Smriti Mandhana top-scored with 42 off 51 balls, while Deepti Sharma made 30 not out after England opted to bowl.
For England, Sophie Ecclestone was the most successful bowler with 3/27 from her six overs.
