With the final a day away, here is a look at how much the winning team will make, along with a breakdown of the prize money for the tournament.

IPL prize money breakdown

The IPL 2025 winners could be set to take home Rs 20 crore as a team, while the runner-up will likely take home around Rs 13 crore. There has been no changes announced, and this has been the norm since 2022, reportedly.

The IPL prize money has only gone up over the years. While the tournament started with just Rs 4.8 crore for the winners and half that for the runner-up, it has increased in leaps and bounds, and the sole dip has been in 2020 -- the Covid pandemic year.

There are individual awards and prizes that will be distributed as well. These include prizes for the Orange and Purple caps. Winners will not only get these caps, but a prize money of Rs 10 lakh, reportedly.

A best emerging player will also be selected—undoubtedly a tough pick given the many talented youngsters in the game in this edition.

The BCCI will present the award to the player meeting all four criteria—born after 1 April 1999; has played 5 or less Test matches or 20 or less ODIs; has played in 25 or less IPL matches (as of the start of the season); and has not previously won the Emerging Player Award.

An award will also be given for the best catch of the season. The winner will get Rs 10 lakh.
