Rohit Sharma rolled back the years and played a magnificent hand of 81 from 50 to lead the Mumbai Indians to 228/5 against the Gujarat Titans in the eliminator of the 2025 Indian Premier League Playoffs at Mullanpur on Friday.
Jonny Bairstow, replacing Ryan Rickelton, began proceedings with a fabulous cameo of 47 from 22.
Rohit then took over while being supported by Suryakumar Yadav (33 off 20) and Tilak Varma (25 off 11).
Hardik Pandya added the finishing touches with 22 off 9.
Sai Kishore as the pick of the bowlers for GT, with figures of 2/42 from his 4 overs.
GT need 229 runs to win the Eliminator and head to the Qualifier 2.
