IPL 2025 came to a close with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) lifting their maiden title after 18 years, while the wait continues for a spirited Punjab Kings (PBKS).

While Bengaluru erupted in cheers, Karnataka politicians across party lines also united to celebrate the win.

Understandably, RCB enjoys fan following from all quarters and celebrities were quick to congratulate the Rajat Patidar-led team on the phenomenal victory.

A-listers like Ranveer Singh, Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna all heaped praises on the team.

Actor Sonu Sood shared a post on Instagram saying "RCB!!! Mehnat ka phal meetha hota hai – finally!" He congratulated Virat Kohli and the team, saying "Heartily congratulations." Sood had words of consolation for PBKS as well, saying "Punjab – tough luck, played with heart and character! Respect to both sides!"

Allu Arjun shared a rare video of his son Ayaan getting super emotional and calling Kohli his idol. "Ayaan getting super emotional ❤️ . #viratkohli fan boy moment . Soo cute my chinni babu," the actor said.

He also shared a story, saying the wait was over.

Mandanna shared an Instagram story, saying "It smells like victory in here" and the ever energetic Ranveer Singh shared a photo of Kohli and Ab de Villiers celebrating, captioned "this is everything."

A lot of the praise was directed at just Kohli who has been with RCB right from the start.

Kartik Aaryan wrote, "Finally Jersey No 18 After 18 years GOAT."

Vicky Kaushal, meanwhile, said "To the man who's given everything to the sport... this was long due! @viratkohli #18."

Ajay Devgn also added "Been watching and cheering for years...finally RCB has made history. Congratulations @viratkohli and the entire team @royalchallengersbengaluru."

RCB won the match by 6 runs.

Interestingly, Drake had bet on RCB to win and now stands to make over Rs 11 crore.
