Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be looking to end their 18-year wait for an Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy on Tuesday when they take on a determined Punjab Kings (PBKS) side at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
While the clash is expected to be an entertaining one with both RCB and PBKS slugging it out for their first IPL trophy, there is a small chance that the weather might play spoilsport.
Rain-related delays are not uncommon: most recently, the second qualifier between PBKS and Mumbai Indians was marred by rain on Sunday, which led to a delay.
Given the possibility of rain-related disruptions, there could be concerns about weather affecting the much-anticipated final.
As we count the hours to the explosive clash, here's what the weather forecast for Ahmedabad looks like for the day.
Weather forecast for Ahmedabad
First, hot and humid conditions are expected for the most part of the day, something that will come as a relief to eager fans.
With a temperature of around 33 degrees Celsius at around 11 am, Ahmedabad is already off to a dry start.
As the day goes by, the western Indian city will get hotter, hitting temperatures of 39 degrees Celsius around 4 pm.
Over the day, however, humdity in the city is set to increase, from around 20 per cent at 11 am to a considerable 57 per cent at 5 pm, according to AccuWeather.
It is also during this time, from 5 pm to 7 pm, that the city is expected to have light showers: AccuWeather describes the weather as mostly cloudy with showers.
However, as per current forecasts, the weather is set to clear around 7 pm, following which Ahmedabad is predicted to experience a cloudy and humid but otherwise dry evening.
The IPL final between RCB and PBKS begins at 7.30 pm IST.
If the match does get washed out today, tomorrow has been kept as a reserve day for the IPL 2025 final.
