Batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi on Saturday made Indian Premier League (IPL) history, becoming the youngest player to grace the tournament at 14 years of age.
Suryavanshi made his debut as Rajasthan Royals (RR) brought him in as their impact substitute during their clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), and began his IPL stint with a statement, hitting a six on the first ball he faced.
A left-handed batsman, Suryavanshi was bought by RR for Rs 1.11 crore in the November auction. At the time, he was only 13.
