Delhi Daredevils have almost assured themselves of a place in the play-offs, but they are in no mood to take their Indian Premier League match Deccan Chargers lightly.

“T20 is such a funny game. Any team can beat any team. We are not taking it lightly at all because we have only 16 points and I think you need 17 to qualify this year. Still, four more matches go apart from this. We are playing with the same intensity what we played in the previous matches,” said Chargers’ mentor TA Sekar.

He said the pitch at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket stadium looks like a good batting wicket.

Asked if the team has learnt from the last match, he said: “If we had scored 170, then we were driving a good game. Kolkata played very well. They had a very good opening partnership. We came back quite well getting two wickets in two balls but we had very less runs on the board. Maybe, we were about 20 runs short last time.”

Acknowledging the absence of Kevin Pietersen, he said the team has an able replacement in Warner. “We miss Pietersen. We brought Warner as replacement. He got back-to-back hundreds in CLT20. Pietersen batted at number three and Warner bats at number one. It does not matter much,” he said.
