Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted the victorious Indian women's cricket team at his official residence on November 5, 2025.

At the meeting, he specifically cited Harmanpreet & co's "remarkable resilience" in changing their fortunes after the early challenge of three consecutive defeats in the tournament.

Recalling the 2017 meeting, Captain Harmanpreet Kaur expressed hope that winning the World Cup would lead to more frequent visits with the PM. Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana also said that PM Modi’s encouragement was a massive source of inspiration for the team.
