In the fifth and final T20I match between the two nations on Sunday, February 2, which was played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, India crushed a feeble English side by 150 runs to clinch the series 4-1, thanks to an astonishing 54-ball 135 from batter Abhishek Sharma.

However, Sharma's incredible innings was not the only talking point of India's victory against England in the 5th T20I on Sunday.

India's star all-rounder Shivam Dube scripted history by becoming the first cricketer in the world to win 30 consecutive T20 international matches. The 31-year-old player, hailing from Mumbai, have played a total of 35 T20I matches for India so far, and made his debut in the format on November 3, 2019 against Bangladesh.

On his fifth T20I appearance in Thiruvananthapuram, India lost to Bangladesh by 8 wickets. Since then, India has never lost a T20 international match featuring Dube.

Interestingly, Dube was not included in India's squad for the T20I series against England initially. He came in as a replacement for Nitish Kumar Reddy, and played the final two matches of the series, helping India secure victories in both.

Chennai Super Kings, the IPL franchise Dube is a part of, shared a post on its official X account, congratulating the all-rounder for his achievement.

"If Dube plays, India wins. 30-0 and still going strong #WhistlePodu #INDvENG," they captioned the post.

The text on the graphic read, "Longest streak without defeat in men’s T20Is! 30-0. Since 11/12/2019."
