Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored for Borussia Dortmund to snatch the DFL (German Football League) Supercup for the second time in row.

Juergen Klopp's men sealed the first title of the season, as Bayern Munich were unable to respond to the goals by Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang in front of 80,667 spectators at the Signal Iduna Park Wednesday night, reports Xinhua.

Dortmund started aggressive from the outset but Bayern worked out the first threatening opportunity of the game when Xherdan Shaqiri failed to overcome Mitchell Langerak in the second minute from close range.

The "BVB" got their first chance eight minutes later when Italian new arrival Ciro Immobile pulled just wide of the left post.

That gave Dortmund more confidence to increase their offensive power. Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer had to deny Oliver Kirch's attempt from inside the box minutes later.

With 22 minutes played Dortmund broke the deadlock through Mkhitaryan whose follow up shot into the top left corner opened the scoring.

Bayern remained relatively harmless and had to thank their goalkeeper Neuer who defused most of Dortmund attacks.

Dortmund started the second half where they left off dictating the pace whereas Bayern Munich failed to get a foothold into the match.

Dortmund piled on the pressure to double the lead in the 61st minute as Aubameyang headed home Lukas Piszczek's cross.

It was clearly the winner for the "BVB" as Bayern barely posed a threat for Dortmund's defence. Only a set by piece by David Alaba forced Dortmund goalkeeper Langerak to make a save in the 80th minute.

"We defended sensationally. We played 90 minutes absolutely consistently. It was a deserved victory," Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp said.
