Cristiano Ronaldo, 40, will have a shot at becoming the first football captain to win two Nations League titles when he faces defending champions Spain and Spanish football's posterboy at the moment—17-year-old Lamine Yamal.

Both Ronaldo and Yamal have had a role to play in their respective teams qualifying for the final. While CR7 scored the winning goal in Portugal's 2-1 victory over Germany, their first win against the side in 25 years, Yamal found the net twice as Spain beat France 5-4 in the other semi-final.

On the other hand, Germany and France will meet in the clash for the third place tomorrow.

In other news, Ronaldo has announced that he will be leaving Saudi side Al-Nassr. While the club has said they are trying to renegotiate with the superstar, CR7 has kept his cards close to his sleeve for the time being.

On the other hand, Spain manager Luis de la Fuente has claimed that Yamal has made a big Ballon d'Or statement against France, and will be a favourite to win the coveted award.

"He's the best player in the world and, in my opinion, of course, he deserves to win the Ballon d'Or," la Fuente said, as per news agency Reuters.
