Hosts Jain University’s cricket team trounced Hindustan University by 87 runs to emerge champions on the final day of the All India Sports Fest, VIE, here on Wednesday.
Batting first, Jain rode on knocks from Sharath BR (58) and Pranav Bhatia (40) to post 199 for seven in 40 overs.
In response, Hindustan University batsmen had no answers to the Jain bowling attack and were bundled out for 112. Abhishek was the most successful bowler for the winning side, returning with figures of four for 32.
Meanwhile in Kabaddi, DH Jain College got the better of Presidency College, Chennai 45-22 to lift the title.
