The Sports School and Prayoga have collaborated for a first-of-its-kind sports-integrated science and math programme – Krida - to facilitate better science and mathematics learning.
Pullela Gopichand, chief national coach of the Indian badminton team and Dilip Kumar, an endurance athlete were the chief guests with T R Srinivas, Co-founder, The Sports School and Dr H S Nagaraja, Founder and Chief Mentor, Prayoga, at the event announcing the collaboration recently.
Krida, an innovative programme, blends the energy of sports with the academic depth of mathematics and science. It merges the excitement of sports with the rigour of science and mathematics.
Designed for students in grades 5–10, based on the NCERT syllabus, Krida combines and correlates core scientific and mathematics concepts with practical applications in sports and games, to make learning engaging and fun through hands-on activities such as measuring speed during races and analysing trajectories in football. Krida bridges the gap between textbook theories and real-world applications.
This innovative method improves critical thinking, collaboration and problem-solving abilities while fostering a better understanding of complex academic subjects.
“Krida redefines how young minds grasp fundamental concepts of science and math, motivating deeper and more meaningful learning. It is of great significance that sports and games are enabling students through Krida to learn science better”, said Srinivas.
