Wicket-keeper batsman Tim Paine was the first one to return home after sustaining a fracture on his finger during the course of Nagpur match.

In a press release here on Friday, Cricket Australia confirmed that Lee will return home to consult with specialists to see the extent of damage to his elbow. In the relese Physio Kevin Sims said: “Brett Lee’s elbow injury has not responded as well to treatment as we would have liked and therefore a decision has been made to send him home to consult with an elbow specialist. With an accurate diagnosis we can determine how best to manage the injury and give Lee the best chance of being available for selection at the beginning of the Australian summer.” Lee bowled just six overs in the opening game at Vadodara and was ruled out of the second ODI in Nagpur. The Australian selectors will soon name a replacement for Lee.
