SJ Nikin Jose starred with a century as Mysore Zone beat Dharwad Zone by 45 runs in the KSCA under-23 inter-mofussil cricket tournament here.
Batting first, Mysore, on the back of Jose’s 130 and half-centuries from Kishan S Bedare (68) and Preetham (52), posted 306/5 in 50 overs. Darshan Patil (2/44) and Naveen G (2/60) shared four wickets amongst them for Dharwad.
In reply, Darshan (60) led the chase, with Mohammed Azeem (52) and Vittal Habib (59) also making vital contributions as Dharwad put up a good fight before being restricted for 261/8 in 50 overs.
