Nishangan, who had scored an upset win over fourth seed Harsh Lakhani in his semifinal encounter, dominated proceedings and stormed past third-seeded S Ganesh 6-0, 6-1 in the summit clash.
In the girls’ final, Ramya scored a comfortable 6-2, 6-3 win over Shikha N Singh for the crown. Karnataka may have missed out on titles in the under-14 category but the boys’ under-16 section promises a winner as top-seeded A Kashyap will take on second seed Anthony Savio in the final.
A Kashyap eased past Gautham Ram Kumar 6-0, 6-2 in straight sets while Anthony faced a tougher challenge in putting away Nishangan, who went down 2-6, 6-3, 4-6.
