He changed to Formula Renault Eurocup with M2 Competition in 2018. After the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, he came back to the British F3 Series, teaming up with Hitech Grand Prix.

In 2021, Kush competed as part of the Mumbai Falcons team in the F3 Asian Championship. The team secured the third position, thanks to Kush Maini's performance.

Progressing in 2022, he competed in the FIA Formula 3 Championship. Kush in November 2022 drove for Campos Racing in the F2 Season 2023.

He also took part in the Formula 2 post season test in 2022 at the Yas Marina Circuit.

Kush switched to Invicta Racing in 2024 and qualified for the fastest lap time in Bahrain.

It was announced that he was joining Alpine Academy in October 2023, and later in November 2023, Kush was appointed as the reserve driver for Mahindra Racing for the Formula E Season 2023-24.

He was once again selected by Mahindra Racing for the rookie free practice session at the Diriyah ePrix.

Kush will be playing a major role in Alpine's car development programme, will work at Apline's Enstone base in UK and will also assist in improvements to the F1 car's performance.

Kush's new role as Test and Reserve Driver

According to a report by Financial Express, Kush said, "I am delighted to step up to the role of test and reserve driver for BWT Alpine Formula 1 Team this season. I am looking forward to getting more track time in Formula 1 machinery and building on what I have already learned with the team in 2024."

Speaking about Kush's development, Alpine Academy Director Julian Rose said, "Kush has impressed the team across his TPC performances and Formula 2 results. We expect he will continue to do so in 2025."
