Praneetha, who had won the gold in the two preceeding meets, was once again in top form as the Bethany High School lass romped home to a superb victory in the girls’ under-15 category at the Sree Kanteerava stadium.
Praneetha crossed the finish line in 12.8 seconds while Cluny Convent High School’s Anitha K finished 1.3 seconds behind for silver. Serena Mary Abhram was third at 14.5.
Praneetha then pocketed her second gold for the day with a leap of 5.64 metres in the long jump event. In-form Ajith G, who also has two successive 100M gold, was beaten by
Vivek Kumar of Rashtriya Military School in the boys under-16 category.
Vivek clocked 11.5 seconds for gold while Ajith had to settle for silver after falling short by a second.
