There was heavy security cover at the Delhi airport as the some 80 athletes and officials left for the Games Village.
The first batch comprised of archery, lawn bowls, shooting, tennis and weightlifting teams.
They were due to leave for Delhi on Friday but had postponed their departure. The teams for rugby 7s, boxing and wrestling would board the flights to India on September 28.
