Sherazi, who has been in top form since winning the State-ranking billiards tournament a couple of weeks ago, lost to Amit Bhushan 33-58, 66-21, 60-25, 33-62, 48-62, 20-60. However, his string of wins preceding Thursday, led him to the top of the pile while Amit settled second place. Nehul Jain finished third and KB Hariharan fourth.
Sherazi will start the Pune Junior Nationals from August 20 as the India number two while Amit and Nehul will represent Karnataka’s first and second ranked players. While Sherazi and Nehul will also reprsent Karnataka in the billiards, Nehul’s place will be taken by KB Hariharan.
