Tarun, who is the lone Karnataka participant, finished behind Punjab’s Mandeep Singh in a time of three minutes and 11.00 seconds for a spot in the last four phase at the Ulsoor Lake. Mandeep was quicker than Tarun by 4.32 seconds while Andhra Pradesh’s Md Ahmed claimed third place clocking 3:50.37.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra’s Munesh Kumar and Yasin Khan and Punjab duo Rakesh Raliya and Gurbachan sailed into the semifinals of 1000M coxless pair in convincing style.
