The sixth edition of the inter-school Tiger Cup cricket tournament will kick-start from April 16 at two venues here.
There will be 16 teams playing in three categories -- under-12, under-14, and under-16 -- at the East West Institute of Technology and the JSS University grounds. In addition, there will also be four women’s sides participating.
Each match will be of 30 overs a side and the final will be of 50 overs a side. The sole sponsor for this year’s tournament will be Cycle Pure Agarbathies, who also co-own the Karnataka Premier League side Mysuru Warriors.
The Tiger Cup also recognises the work of a forest guard each year by awarding Rs 1 lakh.
