In Pool B, Punjab rallied to beat Maharashtra 27-29, 25-15, 25-21, 25-23. Punjab, who lost the first set after a tough battle then went on to claim the second set 25-15. Maharashtra boys put up a steady fight in the next two sets. But Punjab held on to pocket the third and fourth sets 25-21 and 25-23 respectively to win the match.
