Wilson Garden drub Hammonds

A solid all-round performance from Wilson Garden Cricket Club gave them a resounding 122-run victory over Hammonds Cricket Club in the KSCA Group I, Division III league tournament for the Nassur Memorial Shield here.

Spurred by Sharana Basava’s 61 and 44 from Satish Jangir, Wilson Garden posted 244 all out in 41.5 overs. For Hammonds, most of the damage was done by Arvind (3/38) and Nagendra (3/41).

Defending a modest total, Wilson Garden restricted Hammonds to 122 all out in 29 overs as Vimal Singh picked up five for 16, and K Adhithyan 3/18.

In the other game, Chetan claimed a five-wicket haul (5/40) as Vijaya Cricket Club, Malur scored a facile 34 run win over Neptune Cricket Club.

Tushar also chipped in with figures 3/41.
