Yuki sails into ITF second round

Yuki, who has been nursing tendonitis in both knees, struggled with his movement but with a strong serve and fluent groundstrokes got past Kincaid in little over an hour under a baking sun.

The 18-year-old Delhi boy broke Kincaid in the fourth and the sixth game to go up a set. His concentration, however, floundered in the second set and he exchanged break twice before cracking Kincaid's serve in the ninth game. He then served out the set and the match. He next plays compatriot Mohit Mayur Prakash who advanced after Ronit Singh Bisht pulled out retired hurt while trailing 0-2. 

In the other singles, eighth-seeded Karunuday Singh overcame a second-set loss to defeat Vivek Shokeen 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. He next plays the winner of the match between Sidharth Rawat and Abhijeet Tiwari. 

Indian wildcard Kunal Anand defeated Japan's Kok Matsunaga 7-6(3), 6-0. He next plays  the winner of the match between another wildcard Divij Sharan and Sweden's Patrik Rosenholm.

Indian qualifier Rohit Bisht, however, went down to fifth-seeded Russian Vital Reshetnikov 3-6, 3-6.
