Apple has begun rolling out the new iOS 18.5 update to all eligible iPhones worldwide.

The new update (1.58GB) comes with new wallpapers, privacy security features and more.

It also brings the new parental control feature wherein the elders will know at what time Screen Time passcode was used on a child's device. If the elders think that the kid has used up all the screen time set for the day, they can block the iPhone from further usage.

It also resolves an issue where the Apple Vision Pro app may display a black screen.

The new update brings the satellite connectivity feature to iPhone 13 devices-- iPhone 13, 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and 13 Pro Max.

Previously, it was limited to iPhone 14 and new models. With this, iPhone 13 owners will be able to connect with emergency responders or loved ones via satellite for immediate help in remote areas such as hills, deserts or if lost in the sea. However, it will be available in select regions including the US, Australia, New Zealand and European Union.

The iOS 18.5 update also brings critical security patches to fix vulnerabilities in the iPhone and iCloud connectivity.

While processing a maliciously crafted image, it may lead to a denial-of-service on iPhone. This has been resolved.

It also fixes security loopholes in several apps including Mail, Notes, FaceTime, Phone app, Webkit in browser and more.
