Apple's subsidiary Beats has launched a new line of premium earphones Powerbeats Pro 2 series in India.
Athlete-centric earphones Powerbeats Pro 2 come with solid built quality and boasts of IPX4 rating, which means, it can survive heavy sweat and even light rain outdoors.
The earhook has been reinforced with a nickel-titanium alloy to offer flexibility, comfort and grip to hang on to the ears even during heavy workouts at the gym or while jogging fast on an outdoor track. Powerbeats Pro 2 is said to be 20 per cent lighter than its predecessor.
It features redesigned acoustic architecture and personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking capability to deliver powerful, immersive sound, with clear highs, rich mid-range tones and deep bass.
The most notable aspect of the latest Powerbeats Pro 2 is the heart rate tracker; even the AirPods Pro series don't have this feature. It will offer real-time data on the user's performance, with LED optical sensors pulsing over 100 times per second to measure the blood flow. All this can be relayed to compatible fitness apps in real-time.

Initially, the Powerbeats Pro 2 heart rate monitoring feature will be compatible with the following apps in India-- Runna, Nike Run Club, Open, Ladder, Slopes and YaoYao.
Powerbeats Pro 2 also supports Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Transparency mode, Adaptive EQ, and wireless charging.
An inward-facing microphone monitors the sound, and then Adaptive EQ, powered by computational audio, tunes the low and mid frequencies to account for what may be lost due to variances in fit.

The new Powerbeats Pro 2 comes in four colours-- Jet Black, Quick Sand, Hyper Purple, and Electric Orange—for Rs 29,900 from Apple e-stores and mobile app.
