Technology companies HP, Oppo, Asus and others launched laptops, smartphones, accessories, and more this week (April 21-27, 2025).

Asus Vivobook S14 and S14 Flip

The Vivobook S14 features a refined two-part metal construction complemented by CNC-engraved logo detailing and comes with US military-grade MIL-STD 810H durability rating.

Inside, it is equipped with the Intel Core i7-13620H processor. It is an ideal choice for users who demand both mobility and muscle. The 70WHr battery delivers up to 18 hours of unplugged productivity, while ASUS IceCool Thermal Technology ensures smooth performance even under load.

Asus Vivo S14 Flip comes with a 360-degree hinge, enabling multiple usage modes including laptop, tablet, tent, and stand configurations. It also feature US MIL-STD 810H military-grade durability.

It sports a 14-inch full HD+ touchscreen display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 85 per cent screen-to-body ratio supports stylus input for creative tasks and note-taking. It houses Harman Kardon-tuned stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos to deliver immersive audio.

It has 1080p full HD webcam with privacy shutter, backlit ErgoSense keyboard, and wide connectivity options including USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, HDMI 2.1, and Wi-Fi 6E for fast, stable internet access.

It supports the Intel Core i5-13420H processor to deliver balanced performance and efficiency with 16GB onboard RAM, ASUS IceCool Thermal Technology, and customisable Fan Profiles via MyASUS. It also supports the option to expand memory through a SO-DIMM slot and long-lasting productivity with a 50WHr battery and bundled 90W fast charger.

Depending on the configurations, they are available for prices ranging between Rs 67,990 and Rs 79,990.

It features a 6.67-inch (1604 x 720 pixels) HD+ screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 1000 nits peak brightness, and is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 7i shield and IP66/68/69 rating.

It features dual-SIM slots, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a type-C USB port.

The new HP PCs will be available in multiple configuration options including Intel Core Ultra 200 V series, AMD Ryzen AI 300 series and Qualcomm Snapdragon X, X Elite, and X Plus. Also, the products also come equipped with dedicated Neural Processing Units (NPU) 8 capable of 40 to 55 trillion operations per second (TOPS).

Depending on the configurations, HP's latest PCs' prices range from Rs 77,200 and Rs 1,86,499.

Consumers prefer Apple, Samsung and OnePlus for their next compact smartphone purchase, without compromising on features.

Performance Expectations: 88 per cent of respondents are likely to purchase a compact smartphone if it offers flagship-level performance, with processor performance and battery life being crucial factors.

Ideal Screen Size: 60 per cent of respondents consider a 6-to-6.5-inch display ideal for compact smartphones, prioritizing one-handed usability and comfort during extended use.

Gaming Experience: 86 per cent prefer compact smartphones for casual mobile gaming due to ease of holding and reduced hand strain.

Customization and AI: 84 per cent want customizable buttons for quick access to features, and 89% consider AI-powered features important for their next smartphone purchase.

The company announced the launch of BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) models -- AiroElevate, AiroQuad, AiroGeometry and AiroJewel and two new Smart models: AiroGeometry Smart and AiroJewel Smart with prices ranging between Rs 5,850 to Rs 8,700.

Samsung launches second edition of Walk-a-thon India

Samsung smart wearable and smartphone owners can participate in the challenge and track their daily step count for a period of one month until May 20, 2025 via the Samsung Health app. All users who complete 200,000 steps during this period will be eligible for prizes. Three lucky winners will get Galaxy Watch Ultra while all others who complete 200,000+ steps will get 25 per cent discount on Galaxy Watch Ultra.

The 30-day steps challenge will be hosted exclusively on the Samsung Health app, which is available on Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Participants can monitor their progress through a real-time leaderboard within the Samsung Health app, allowing them to compare their performance and stay motivated throughout the challenge. To qualify and be eligible for prizes, participants are required to complete a minimum of 200,000 steps over the 30-day duration. After completing the challenge, the finishers need to visit the Samsung Health app between May 26 and June 15, 2025, to claim their prize.
