In 2024, Google hosted the product launch event in its home town Mountain View, California. This time, the company will conduct the programme in New York City on August 20 at 1.00 pm PT (10:30 pm IST).

Here's what to expect at the Google hardware event in August:

Google is expected to unveil at least four variants of the Pixel 10 series phones-- a standard Pixel 10, a top-end Pixel 10 Pro, a Pixel 10 Pro XL with a bigger display and an ultra-premium Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

All the new Pixel 10 series models will run on Google's proprietary Tensor G5 chipset, which is said to come with a significant upgrade to deliver lag-free performance and run generative Artificial Intelligence features such as Gemini Live, and computational photography tools such as Magic Editor, smoothly.

Furthermore, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be made with more durable build materials and will also feature an IP68 rating, a first for a foldable Pixel series phone to date. It will be able to survive an accidental fall in a water body like a swimming pool for up to a depth of 1.5 metres (around five feet) for close to 30 minutes.

Also, new Pixel 10 series phones are expected to get improved and brighter display panels compared to the previous iterations. Also, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will get a bigger battery than its predecessor.

Besides the new Pixel 10 series phones, Google is also expected to unveil Pixel Watch 4. It is said to come with improved health tracking capabilities and deliver longer battery life.

More details will emerge as we get closer to the launch day. Google has not released any teasers about the Pixel 10 series yet, but it is expected to reveal key features in the coming weeks.
