At the end of the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event in January at San Jose, the company teased the Galaxy S25 Edge, the slimmest premium phone among the S25 series. Samsung even showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, but did not reveal when it will be released to the market.
Now, after months of speculations, Samsung is finally bringing the Galaxy S25 Edge later this month on May 13, 1pm IST.
"This is more than a slim smartphone. Every curve, contour and component reflects a breakthrough in precise engineering to create a premium experience worthy of the S series name. The Galaxy S25 Edge not only sets a new standard for what you can achieve with your smartphone — but it also unlocks a new era of growth for the mobile industry," said Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: What we know so far
The new Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to sport a super-slim design measuring just 5.85mm and weighs around 163g, much lower than any conventional premium phone. But, it will have the same firepower as the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It is said to come with Snapdragon 8 Elite, Qualcomm's most powerful chipset yet.

Also, it is said to sport a 6.7-inch Quad HD+(1,440 x 3,120) super AMOLED screen and supports up to 120Hz refresh rate. The front panel is expected to be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and the back is safeguarded by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 series. And, the device comes with IP68 water-and-dust rating.
It is said to boast a dual-camera module-- main 200MP camera with a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and LED flash on the back. And, it will feature a 12MP wide camera for selfies and video calling.
It will house a 3,900mAh battery with 45W fast charging capability.
The new Galaxy S25 Edge will run Android 15-based One UI 7 OS and will get seven years of Android OS updates and software security patches for protection against cyber threats up to 2032.
