Nothing Phone 3

The new Phone 3, which is touted to be the company's first true premium handset, is all set for global debut on July 1 in London.

Nothing Inc co-founder Carl Pei has also confirmed that the new Phone 3 will cost around £800 (approx. Rs 91,336).

It will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.

The new Phone 3 will offer better performance than its predecessor. Compared to the Phone 2, the successor promises to deliver 36 per cent faster in terms of CPU performance, 88 per cent better GPU performance and 60 per cent stronger on the NPU front.

The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 comes with Snapdragon Elite Gaming features, including the Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine and Adreno Frame Motion Engine 2.0. They work in tandem to deliver ultra-smooth, high-performance gaming sessions while significantly enhancing power efficiency.

Also, the company has let go of the trademark Glyph UI and will be replaced by Glyph Matrix.

In the recent teaser, the phone is shown flashing a dot matrix-based animation in the top right corner of the phone. However, we are not sure if this feature is on the front panel or the rear side.

The company has intentionally placed two buttons each on the left and the right side to confuse the fans on where the new feature will be placed.

If it is in the back panel, the company may have used a secondary display just for notifying users of a call or message.

That said. The animation looks cool and is sure to find traction among youth.

Nothing Phone 3 will run Android-based NothingOS and will support several generative Artificial Intelligence (gen AI) features.
