Meta in collaboration with EssilorLuxottica launched the first-ever Ray-Ban branded smart glasses in 2021 and since then, it has rolled out two iterations. However, none have made their debut in India.
Now, Meta is finally bringing the Ray-Ban smart glasses to the subcontinent soon.
They also revealed that the the Ray-Ban Meta glasses will be getting new updates including live translation. Initially, it will support English, French, Italian, and Spanish languages.
Once the language pack is downloaded, the glasses won't need Wi-Fi or internet connectivity from the companion phone. It can help users have direct conversation with the locals at international tourist spots.
To get started, the user has to just say, "Hey Meta, start live translation."
Further, users will also be able to send and receive direct messages, photos, audio calls, and video calls from Instagram on Ray-Ban Meta glasses.
