Oppo on Thursday (March 20) launched the much-awaited new mid-range F29 series in India.
The new F29 series comes in two variants-- a regular F29 and a top-end F29 Pro.
The standard Oppo F29 sports a 6.7-inch full HD+ (2412×1080p) AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1200 nits peak brightness. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection and comes with IP66/68/69 rating.
It also supports dual-SIM slots, a type-C port and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Inside, it houses a 4nm class Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 octa-core processor, Adreno 710 GPU, Android 15-based ColorOS 15, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage and a 6,500mAh battery with 80W superVOOC charging.
It also boasts of dual-camera module-- main 50MP (with f/1.8 aperture) and a 2MP (f/2.2) monochrome camera with LED flash on the back. And, it features 16MP (f/2.4) front camera for selfies and video calling.
The top-end Oppo F29 Pro flaunts a 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and support up to 2100 nits peak brightness. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 shield and comes with IP66/68/69 water-and-dust resistant rating.

It comes with a 4nm class MediaTek Dimensity 7300- Energy octa-core processor with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, Android 15-based ColorOS 15, 8GB / 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a 6,000mAh battery with 80W superVOOC charging.
It houses a dual-camera module-- main 50MP (f/1.8) with a 2MP (f/2.2) monochrome camera with LED flash. And, a 16MP (f/2.4) front camera.
Both the Oppo phones boast of aerospace-grade AM04 aluminium alloy frame that enhances durability by 10 per cent over its predecessor. Also, they were tested against 14 rigorous Military Standard (MIL-STD-810H-2022) challenges—from extreme temperatures and rain to shock, dust, salt mist, and vibrations.
Another notable aspect of the latest F29 series is that they come with propreitary Hunter Antenna Architecture, which promises to deliver a 300 per cent boost in signal strength — ideal for remote areas, highways, underpasses and even basement parking. The new technology comes with TÜV Rheinland certification for stable and reliable network performance.
Oppo F29 5G is available in two configurations-- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage-- for Rs 23,999 and Rs 25,999, respectively.
Even the Oppo F29 Pro 5G is available in two configurations-- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage-- for Rs 27,999 and Rs 29,999, respectively.
