Samsung's new Odyssey 3D is touted to be India’s first glasses-free 3D gaming monitor.

It boasts of advanced eye-tracking technology and view mapping algorithms. It can support high-definition video content and 3D visuals that make games and video content more life-like. The Edge Lighting feature further enhances gaming experience.

The monitor comes with the Reality Hub app. It can detect video content and offers a choice to run it in 3D. The company said that it is collaborating with major global game developers, including Nexon, for The First Berserker: Khazan to optimise this next-gen 3D technology.

Further, the Odyssey 3D features AI-powered video conversion, which can turn any standard content into 3D. With 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms (milli-seconds) response time, AMD FreeSync support, Odyssey 3D ensures smooth, lag-free gameplay.

The monitor also houses a built-in speaker and supports spatial audio. It costs Rs 1,27,299.

Samsung also introduced the Odyssey OLED G8. It is said to be the industry's first 4K 240Hz OLED gaming monitor. It comes in a slim metal body with Core Lighting+ and an ergonomic stand.

It boasts Samsung's proprietary Quantum Dot technology and can deliver enhanced colours, deep contrast, and superior viewing angles.

It also comes with VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certification. With this, the multimedia content will appear with vibrant colours even at typical brightness levels of 250 nits.

Samsung’s proprietary OLED Safeguard+ and Dynamic Cooling System extend screen longevity that effectively cools down the screen temperature to prevent burn-in by applying the Pulsating Heat Pipe to monitor, a first for gaming display to date.
