Samsung fans and customers who own premium Galaxy S25 or any of the recently launched Galaxy A series phones will soon recieve new update which will enable to easy access to AI features faster than before.
Once updated to the latest software version, users will be able to use the side button, the one below the volume rocker to launch AI features, including Gemini, Google’s AI-powered assistant.
As you can see in the picture below, the user has to simply press and hold the side button. It will instantly trigger the Gemini features and talk with it.

With Gemini AI, the users can carry out tasks across apps with just a single command. For instance, he/she can ask the Gemini to find a nearest restaurant on Google Maps and send the address to a friend through Messages – spanning Samsung, Google and select third-party apps.

We’re excited that Galaxy A series users will now be able to activate Gemini faster and more naturally through a simple gesture that brings intelligent support into the flow of daily tasks,” said Jay Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Office, Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics.
Samsung introduced Awesome Intelligence on the latest Galaxy A series – Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G and Galaxy A26 5G – including select fan-favorite AI-powered features that open up Galaxy’s incredible mobile AI experiences to more users.
The software update will roll out globally to select Galaxy A series models including Galaxy A56, A36, Galaxy A26, Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, S25 Ultra and more starting in early May.
