American semiconductor major Qualcomm has launched Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, brand-new chipset for premium phones.
It comes with good upgrade in terms of performance and can do tasks faster compared to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
It also promises to offer improved photography experience and run generative Artificial Intelligence features and other heavy duty tasks smoother without any lag-ness on the phone.

--The new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is a 4nm class 64-bit octa-core Kryo silicon. With a peak clock speed of 3.2 GHz, it promises 31 per cent improvement in performance
-- With the latest Adreno GPU, it promises to deliver up to 49 per cent improved performance and 49 per cent better power efficiency.
-- It comes with a Qualcomm AI Engine, which features a faster NPU and 2x larger shared memory, promises to offer improved bandwidth and up to 44 per cent faster AI performance. The AI Engine also supports a variety of LLMs and LVMs, providing seamless speed and enhanced privacy with on-device processing.
-- It comes with Snapdragon Elite Gaming features, including the Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine and Adreno Frame Motion Engine 2.0. They work in tandem to deliver ultra-smooth, high-performance gaming sessions while significantly enhancing power efficiency.
-- It will enable phones to support real-time Hardware Accelerated Ray Tracing. With Snapdragon Game Super Resolution 2.0, the game's content will appear in higher quality, up to 4K and lower latency (1 m/s) upscaling to deliver the ultimate gaming experience
-- It houses Snapdragon 5G Modem-RF supports AI-powered 5G connectivity and allows phone peak download speeds up to 4.2Gbps and more spectrum flexibility—all while maintaining astonishing efficiency.
-- It also features Qualcomm FastConnect Mobile Connectivity System offers responsive Wi-Fi 7 at up to 5.8Gbps while supporting various premium features like High-Band Simultaneous (HBS) Multi-Link for greater bandwidth.
-- With Bluetooth 6.0 support, smartphones with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 will be able to have a stable wireless connection with a companion device for up to 300 metres (around 984.5 feet) and up to 3Mbps data transfer speed

It lets phone's camera to capture with features like Limitless Segmentation, able to recognize and enhance up to 250 layers within an image at 4K resolution. Real-time skin and sky tone correction captures natural color tones in challenging environments and Night Vision 2.0 records ultra-low light videos at a smooth 4K30 FPS.
