Advancements in the field of science, technology and artificial intelligence (AI) have shaped the majority of the 21st century, and the automobile industry is no exception. In a major stride in the field of futuristic automobiles and transportation, XPENG AEROHT, Asia's biggest flying car firm, has recently unveiled its Land Aircraft Carrier at the ongoing global tech event CES 2025, according to a report by Interesting Engineering.

This is being considered as a landmark milestone in modern and new-age transportation. With deliveries scheduled to be ready by 2026, this modular flying automobile is poised to become the first mass-produced vehicle of its sort, having already garnered over 3,000 intent orders.

Shedding light on the product, Tan Wang, the co-founder of XPENG AEROHT, said, "We have transformed the dream of flying cars into a tangible reality."

"The international debut of the ‘Land Aircraft Carrier’ showcases our ability to turn vision into action. With over 3,000 intent orders, we are definitively at the forefront of the advanced mobility revolution. The 'Land Aircraft Carrier' represents just the beginning of XPENG AEROHT’s journey to redefine mobility," Wang added.

The Land Aircraft Carrier brings a blend of both land and air travel, thereby attempting to address major drawbacks of traditional transportation methods while also bringing to the forefront, new age solutions for personal as well as public service applications. The modular design of the vehicle allows smooth transitions between driving and flying, while at the same time offering immense versatility in traversing diverse and places across the globe.

"Our goal is to bring the freedom to fly to everyone while pioneering innovation and industry firsts in low-altitude mobility," remarked Dr. Brian Gu, vice chairman and president of XPENG.

"By focusing on both near-term ambitions and long-term possibilities, we aim to meet the evolving demands of advanced mobility through groundbreaking, scalable solutions," he further added.
