Popular phone maker Vivo on Thursday (April 10) launched the new mid-range phone V50e in India.
It comes with 6.77-inch full HD (2392 x 1080p) AMOLED screen with 20:9 aspect ratio, supports HDR10+, 120Hz refresh rate. It is protected by Diamond Shield Glass shield.
It also features dual-SIM slots, in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, type-c port and comes with IP68+69 water-and-dust resistant rating.
It runs Android 15-based FuntouchOS 15 with 4nm class 2.5GHz MediaTek Dimensity 7300 octa-core with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB / 256GB (UFS2.2) storage, and a 5,600mAh battery with 90W charging capability.
It boasts of dual-camera module-- main 50MP camera (with Sony IMX 882 sensor, OIS :Optical Image Stabilisation, f/1.79 aperture) and an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide camera with Aura light LED on the back. It also features 50MP (f/2.2) eye auto-focus front camera.

The Sony Multifocal Pro Portrait feature offers three golden portrait focal lengths – 1x (26mm), 1.5x (39mm), and 2x (52mm) allowing precise composition and depth.
The 50 MP Eye-AF Group Selfie Camera supports 92-degree wide field of view for hassle-free selfies and Eye-AF for sharper, well-focused self-portraits. Additionally, V50e offers 4K video support on both front and rear cameras.
Further, it boasts the Wedding Portrait Studio feature, which combines Wedding-Style Portraits with Film Camera Mode, featuring multiple LUTs (Look-Up Table) and frames to create cinematic wedding photos.
With AI Aura Light Portrait 2.0, it can offer up to 143 times softer flash compared to normal flash.
Vivo is offering the V50e in two colours-- pearl white and sapphire blue. It comes in two configurations-- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage-- for Rs 28,999 and Rs 30,999, respectively.

The new Vivo phone will be competing with Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 (review), Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, and Samsung Galaxy A26, among others.
