Technology companies Dell, BenQ, LG, Godrej, Lumio, and others launched smartphones, tablets, computers, smart TVs, TV projectors, accessories and more this week (July 14-20, 2025).

Dell 14 Plus and 16 series laptops

Dell earlier this week showcased a new line of Dell 14 Plus, 14 2-in-1 Plus, and 16 Plus in Bengaluru. They are powered by the latest AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series CPUs. They are crafted to deliver faster responsiveness and intelligent computing, multitasking, gaming, content creation, or high-speed browsing.

They support a 16:10 full HD+ display with up to 300 nits brightness and Dolby Vision support, to deliver an immersive front-of-screen experience. They come with stereo-quality speakers powered by Realtek SounzReal and immersive Dolby Atmos.

The Dell 14 Plus and 16 Plus offer up to 20 and 22 hours, respectively, making them perfect companions for marathon work sessions.

The Dell 14 2-in-1 Plus boasts of dynamic 360-degree hinge that seamlessly shifts between laptop, tablet, tent, or stand mode. Adding to this, the 14 2-in-1 Plus offers stunning clarity on the expansive 14-inch full HD+ display with a cinematic 16:10 aspect ratio. It comes with an optional Dell Active Pen support.

It comes with a battery life of up to 19 hours. Dell 14 Plus starts at Rs 76,940, Dell 14 2-in-1 Plus starts at Rs 87,670, and the Dell 16 Plus starts at Rs 76,400.

It comes with a 24.1-inch full HD (1920×1080) TN panel and supports a 600Hz refresh rate when connected to a PC and 120Hz when connected to a gaming console.

The Fast-TN panel reduces ghosting due to a faster liquid crystal response that improves conductivity. It also includes a vivid colour film which delivers a 35 per cent improvement in colour performance compared to conventional TN panels.

It also boasts proprietary motion blur reduction tech, which uses dual backlights for improved precision and motion clarity, minimising visual noise and helping eyes adapt faster.

It houses three HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4 ports and a headphone jack

It has industrial-grade bearing-based height adjustment. This allows players to find the perfect position quickly, with precision. It is available for Rs 94,990 on Amazon India.

Lumio Arc 5 and 7 series

Lumio's new Arc 5 and 7 series TV projectors hit stores in India. They come with propreitary Lumio Arclight Engine, which promises to deliver crisp full HD 1080p visuals with HDR10 support, vibrant colours and sharp details.

The company says that Lumio’s Arclight engine is also fully sealed, precision-aligned, and built for durability. The design prevents dust from entering, which is a common issue in conventional projectors that causes hazy patches over time.

It can also operate quietly thanks to optimised airflow and minimal moving parts. Inside the engine is a high-quality LCD illuminated by a long-life LED light source. Both Arc 5 and Arc 7 are also engineered with Under-Stand, which helps in elevated projection in both bedroom and living room setups.

Both the Arc 5 and Arc 7 come with smart features like Smooth Trapezoidal Recalibration or STR8 that enables auto-keystone correction (±30-degree vertical, ±25-degree horizontal), obstacle avoidance and instant autofocus using a Time-of-Flight (TOF) sensor.

It is just plug and play. Powered by the best-in-class MTK 9630 processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB storage, both models run Google TV for a smooth, content-first experience with access to 400,000+ movies and shows across 10,000+ apps, including Netflix.

The Arc 5 supports 200 ANSI lumens for vibrant visuals in dimly lit environments and projects up to a 100-inch screen size with full HD resolution. It houses 5W speakers with dual passive radiators for extra bass and Dolby Audio support.

The Arc 7 supports 400 ANSI lumens of peak brightness and can project up to 100-inch screen size with full HD resolution. It houses two 8W stereo speakers with a larger passive radiator for room-filling sound and Dolby Audio support.

Both TV projectors come with an HDMI 2.0 (HDMI ARC-enabled), USB 2.0, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 5(Dual Band), and a 3.5mm audio jack. The all-new Minion Noir Remote includes Google Assistant and dedicated buttons for Netflix, YouTube, and TLDR.

Lumio Arc 5 and Arc 7 are priced at Rs 19,999 and Rs 34,999, respectively.

Godrej's new AI washing machines

The new Godrej front-loading washing machines come with new artificial intelligence technology that can intuitively optimise the wash and rinse, deliver optimal clothes care by smart load detection and water level adjustment. It can also save precious water and energy bills for the customer.

Additional features include the Steam Wash program that can deep cleanse clothes, and Refresh program that can deodorise lightly worn clothes. The FabriSafe Drum helps to maintain the fabric quality. Furthermore, these machines can wash off 100-plus different kinds of stains—even those up to 2 days old and enable clothes to dry up to 30 minutes faster.

It also comes with auto tub clean reminders, overflow protection, and an anti-rust cabinet. The range is backed by a 4-year comprehensive warranty and a 10-year motor warranty, reinforcing its long-term value proposition.

Available in capacities ranging from 6.5 kg to 10 kg with prices between Rs 43,000 and Rs 66,500.

LG QNED evo Series and OLED evo Series

South Korean consumer electronics major LG earlier this week launched a new line of OLED evo and QNED evo series premium smart televisions in India.

The QNED evo is the top-end among the two. It boasts of Mini LED technology with AI-enhanced processing and LG’s proprietary Dynamic QNED Colour solution. This replaces traditional quantum dot technology and allows for vivid, precise colour reproduction across all lighting conditions.

The QNED evo range features refined light control that enhances both contrast and detail, with the Mini LED backlight system allowing for deeper blacks and more luminous highlights. The Alpha AI processor fine-tunes picture quality at a zone level, while AI Picture Pro and AI Sound Pro continuously optimise every scene and sound in real-time. This provides a balance between clarity, depth, and realism. These TVs also deliver an immersive listening experience with virtual 9.1.2 channel surround sound, customised through AI-based personalisation of sound settings for each user.

The OLED evo series comes with an upgraded Brightness Booster Ultimate feature, which enhances both light control architecture and boosting algorithms to improve brightness as compared to traditional OLEDs. It promises to improve picture clarity and provides life-like colours regardless of Ambient lighting conditions.

It comes equipped with a new Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen2, which can enable the TV to produce more natural visuals by analysing and can also upscale lower-resolution content with pixel-level precision.

The Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro feature can refine HDR10 content. A standout feature introduced this year is the Filmmaker Mode with Ambient Light Compensation, which adjusts picture settings based on the lighting of the viewing environment to preserve the filmmaker’s intent.

These TVs also support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, creating a cinematic experience with stunning visuals and immersive sound. The AI Sound Pro technology, available in OLED evo TVs, creates virtual 11.1.2 surround sound and enhances voice clarity by separating vocals from background noise, delivering a rich and enveloping audio experience.

The OLED and OLED evo series come in multiple screen sizes ranging from 42-inch to 97-inch, with prices starting from Rs 1,49,900 to Rs 23,49,990.

The QNED and QNED evo series come in multiple screen sizes ranging from 43-inch to 100-inch with prices starting from Rs 74,900 to Rs 11,99,990.

V-Guard earlier this week launched a new range of BrushLess Direct Current (BLDC) fans--AirWiz Light, AirWiz Prime, AirWiz Plus, and AirWiz N.

AirWiz Light is the top-end model among the lot. It features an integrated under-light, combining illumination with air comfort.

AirWiz Prime also sports a distinctive UI LED indicator that subtly displays the fan’s speed level. Airwiz Light and Airwiz Prime together are available in 19 colours, including an appealing wood finish. Air Wiz Plus is the budget model.

Oppo and Hasselblad to extend strategic partnership

In 2022, Oppo first announced to collaborate with Hasselblad to bring the latter's advanced camera technology in smartphones.

Since then, Oppo has used Hasselblad cameras in all its premium phones including foldable Find X handset series.

Key innovations include the iconic Hasselblad Natural Color Solution, re-engineered for mobile; Hasselblad Portrait Mode on Oppo phones allows users to capture professional portraits with a bokeh effect recreated to match classic Hasselblad lenses. And, professional Master Mode, specifically designed to match the colour character of Hasselblad X2D. The collaboration also brought creative expressions like Hasselblad XPAN Mode, which recreates the classic 65:24 wide aspect ratio of the legendary camera.

Now, the Chinese company has announced to extend the collaboration with Swedish optics firm further.
