An unknown number of shooters opened fire into a crowd from a dark-colored vehicle driving past the 300 block of West Chicago Avenue, according to the Chicago Police Department.

The police had not taken anybody into custody as of early Thursday and were continuing to investigate, the department said.

Officers responded to a report that multiple people had been shot at around 11 p.m., police said in a statement.

The police said that those killed were two men, ages 24 and 25, and two women.

Eleven women and three men, ranging in age from 21 to 32, were injured, police said. Three of the women were in critical condition. None of the victims was named.
