People often say that they can sell everything for buying their favourite thing and this just got real in Russia. It all started when a marketing consultant named Dmitri posted "a joke." Just for fun, he mentioned that he would give 100,000 Russian rubles (around Rs 1 lakh) to an individual willing to sign over "their soul using their own blood."

A few days after the post went live on social media, the man received a reply; a woman signing up for it.

In the bizarre case, the woman named Karina texted him agreeing to sign the contract with blood and collect money.

Dmitri later circulated the evidence and wrote, "I definitely feel like Davy Jones right now.” He admitted he had no idea what to do with it and described the stunt as more of a social experiment than anything else."

The photo of the signed document is now going viral. It features a stamped paper inked with blood.

While it all started as a joke, it ended on a documented note. Karina actually received the money as she was quoted in media reports suggesting the amount had landed into her account before she went on a spending spree. With the money she received in this deal, she reportedly brought home a Labubu doll collect and ticket to witness folk singer Nadezhda Kadisheva's concert. However, she was reportedly criticised for her act by the Russian Orthodox Church.
