Google-owned video streaming platform YouTube is back after an hour-long technical glitch on early Wednesday.
The site was back by around 8.15 am.
It showed an 'internal error advertisement' saying "500 Internal Server Error. Sorry, something went wrong. A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation. If you see them, send them this information as text (screenshots frighten them):" following a mix of code letters and characters. At the outset, the site seemed to have been hacked.
The homepage keeps buffering while logging on.
YouTube, reacting to the complaints, said it was looking into reports of issues.
"Thanks for your reports about YouTube, YouTube TV and YouTubeMusic access issues. We're working on resolving this and will let you know once fixed," YouTube said in a tweet.
