Washington: US President Donald Trump said on Monday that an agreement aimed at ending Russia's war in Ukraine is closer than ever, as his team reported progress after talks in Berlin.
Trump spoke at a White House event after he called into a dinner in Berlin at which US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner were holding talks about Ukraine with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders.
"I think we're closer now than we have been ever," Trump said.
