Tokyo: Earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.3 has affected East Japan, Reuters reported, citing NHK News.

The quake struck around 9:08 a.m., with its focus in southern Ibaraki Prefecture at a depth of about 50 kilometers, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.
