Beijing: Eight people went missing after a Chinese fishing boat collided with a Panama container ship near a town in the island province of Hainan, Chinese state media CCTV reported on Wednesday.

Search and rescue operations are underway, and the cause of the accident is under investigation, CCTV added. (Reporting by Beijing newsroom; Editing by Andrew Heavens)
