According to a report by The Financial Times, Musk and his right-wing allies are looking at ways to destabilise the UK Labour government beyond mere aggressive and accusatory posts on social media.

To that end, the Tesla CEO has reportedly sought information on the possibility of building support for alternative British political movements—particularly the Nigel Farage-led right-wing Reform UK party—ahead of the next general elections in the country.

Reform UK is of particular interest to Musk, having enjoyed a surge in support in recent months.

That being said, Farage is unlikely to be at the helm if Musk gets his way: the mercurial billionaire has already said that the Reform UK party "needs a new leader" and has been examining possible candidates to replace Farage, FT reported citing people familiar with the matter.

While Farage has downplayed the 'spat' with Musk and intends to meet the billionaire later in January, FT reported that Musk has already examined Reform UK MP Rupert Lowe as a potential replacement for Farage, and the Clacton MP may not find favour with the SpaceX chief.

It should be noted that in the UK—where the PM wields power by virtue of leading the party with the most MPs—several sitting PMs including Boris Johnson and Sir Tony Blair have had to concede power in the middle of their terms because of waning popularity, despite thumping election victories.

Musk, it is understood, is trying to work towards a similar fate for sitting PM Keir Starmer, having already accused the UK PM of being "complicit" in the rape of Britain.

Notably, the report comes at a time when Musk seems to have taken an active interest in UK politics, having already demanded a national probe into grooming cases involving sexual exploitation of girls in the UK.
