The Hague: Former Philippine leader Rodrigo Duterte has been surrendered to the custody of the International Criminal Court (ICC), the ICC said on Wednesday, shortly after he landed in the Netherlands, where the court is based.
"He was arrested by the authorities of the Republic of the Philippines in accordance with an arrest warrant issued by Pre-Trial Chamber I for charges of murder as a crime against humanity," the ICC said in a statement.
