Paris: The French government said on Monday there will be no change to medication reimbursements in 2025, scrapping earlier plans to tighten the system as part of a wider savings push.

The move is widely seen as a further concession to far-right National Rally (RN) party, which has threatened to vote a no-confidence motion against the government if its policy demands are not met.

The Prime Minister's office said far-right leader Marine Le Pen earlier on Monday had a phone call with PM Michel Barnier, in which she urged him to change the policy.
