In an audio message broadcast today on Syria's al-Rai television station 40 days after her father's death, Aisha Gaddafi called for a revolt against the regime that "arrived with the planes of NATO."
With the fall of Tripoli to rebel forces, Aisha, two of her brothers and her mother took refuge in neighbouring Algeria.
Aisha's appeal puts her in direct conflict with Algerian officials, who Gaddafi family members promised they would not make public statements at the risk of losing their status as humanitarian refugees.
After similar statements in September, the officials warned she could be expelled.
